What We've Achieved!

The Center provided close to 94,800 units last year which impacted close to a thousand individuals requiring services to improve their quality of life. At present, the Center services patients ranging from weeks of age to those in their 70’s and 80’s. Together with UT Health San Antonio, Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston, and Pediatric Specialists of Texas, the Cowl Center held 55 outreach pediatric clinics benefiting over 800 children and 28 outreach adult clinics impacting 154 adults through Veterans Evaluation Services and UT Health San Antonio. The Center also hosted the Free--Summer Camp in Space for 70+ children between the ages of 3 – 12. As a leader in healthcare education, the Center is always happy to serve as a site for students in health-related fields. Over 180 allied health students completed pre-requisite program hours, internships and clinical training at the Cowl Center, surpassing 8,500 hours of clinical training and are now practicing in our community.
